  1. Nothing will be done. Why? We've gone from a constitutional requirement for a bill to pass the senate from 50% plus the vice president to a de facto requirement of 60 because the minority party (especially when the minority party is the Republicans) always filibusters any bill that comes to the floor. All the bills Obama got was when he had the super majority during the first half of his first term. Without a supermajority, we don't have a functioning federal government.
