  1. The Republican side royally effed up when they developed Fox News. It allowed them to ignore reality in favor of a carefully cultivated fantasy constructed to reinforce and confirm their ideology. I've long said that no ideology is true. We all have one, but the best are fluid, capable of changing when reality shows how one part of it is faulty in some way. Before Fox and the internet echo chambers, Republicans had to deal with reality on reality's terms, but now they don't and it's going to destroy them. You can't stand against reality indefinitely, because it will eventually, inevitably crush you when you do.
