  1. The military needs to have lethal capability, but that's a hammer. A good military has a fully stocked toolbox. They're often used for things outside of war and killing. They rebuild places destroyed by war or natural disasters. They provide humanitarian support bringing food and medical supplies and even doctors. Hegseth is a very poor fit for Secretary of Defense, he didn't even understand what they do when he was in.
