My concerns with Big Pharma aren't with the quality or efficacy of the medications they put out, they're usually quite good and effective at treating the diseases or conditions they're designed to treat. My concern is their greed. The only medications I have a real issue with are the highly addictive pain killers they were pushing for profit. Used sparingly and under careful observation, they're great. Abused, they're dangerous as are any medications. It's not like they're pushing patients to take ten times the statins or take more potassium chloride than is necessary. Both would cause issues too, but they aren't as profitable as the opioids.
