  1. I have to disagree. While I accept you mean what you say in the #metoo and believe all women campaigns, that's not how the majority of proponents and apologists understood and accepted it. Nuance is difficult to shoehorn into a three-word slogan\chant. If you have to advance an explanation after expressing the slogan\chant, then it isn't doing its job. Too many really meant believe all women, to the point that many men accused of assault erroneously had their lives totally ruined. So, I understand, if not excuse, Republicans for attacking the left over Tara Reade's accusation. Can we just get away from the three-word slogans\chants, or at least make smarter ones? "Take women seriously," over, "believe all women."

  2. False accusers are quite twisted attention seekers and hurt women who are. It's already hard enough for survivors to come forward with the stigma still attached to being assaulted and accusing the attacker, especially if it's someone famous or powerful. The slogan should have always been, "take women seriously," instead of, "believe all women." Women are people and have just as many opportunists in their ranks as any defined group willing to take advantage of people for attention or fame.
