  1. When Trump says there will be pain, but it'll be worth it, there are two subjects here. For the American middle class and poor, it's going to be very painful. For him and his wealthy oligarchs, it'll be worth it. Trump isn't simply economically illiterate, he's economically ignorant, entirely.
