  1. Tipping is a bad practice to begin with. The money I pay for the meal is meant to pay for the food, the utilities, overhead, losses, AND for the services, including waitstaff. The fact that tipping, a practice that was originally wealthy people bribing waitstaff for preferential service, has devolved into a tactic restaurants use to absolve themselves of caring for their employees and push off the responsibility to us is horribly immoral. Guilt as a business practice needs to die. I never eat at restaurants that require tipping anyway, but I never would because I never respond to guilt trip tactics. Refuse to eat at restaurants that don't pay their employees a living wage.
