  1. Debate is the worst way to figure out what the truth is. ESPECIALLY in a society divided so thoroughly by partisan nonsense. No matter what is said, no matter how dishonest or obviously incorrect, the partisan supporters of one debater is going to accept what he\she says over anyone else. Even in a totally nonpartisan system, debate fails for finding the truth. A poor debater can fail to defend the truth while a skilled debater can successfully defend lies and misinformation. I don't do debate.
