  1. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and it usually stinks. First and foremost, science is not primarily a body of knowledge. It's a process of testing hypotheses and arriving at conclusions based on evidence. It's self correcting, as a conclusions isn't simply the truth. It gets tested and retested, reviewed by peers, new methodologies are introduced to refine a hypothesis and reinforce or even remove a previous theory. Some layperson with an opinion without knowledge of how and why said conclusions were reached is a useless fool and whose opinion on the matter should be discounted entirely.
