  1. People who use language to defeat something are people who generally have no case. They know they are wrong, but they don't care and are willing to do anything to get their way, even make overly complex language pronouncements. What's worse, it's totally inconsistent. If the opposite meaning of a word than one they previously argued will help them, they'll bend over backwards to make that argument.
