I live in Oklahoma and the governor here signed a bill concerning the banning of critical race theory. Honestly, the theory is more than a little bit overblown. It's not nearly as rational as the proponents claim it to be. I'm not denying that this nation has a racist past and we are feeling the echoes of it today. And it is true that if we 100% rid ourselves of the laws that were and\or are racist today, it'd be generations before the effects would disappear. A lot of the theory isn't about understanding linear time and causality, it's about instilling guilt in white people today for crimes committed by individuals of the past, and it will not work.
