  1. They have never cared about these things in principle. They only care when someone nominally on the left does it. It's typical fascism, blame your enemies of the crimes you commit or claim you're doing the same thing your enemies are doing because you need to win. Shaming a modern Republican for hypocrisy is like shaming a dog for having fur.
