  1. As long as it wasn't hurting them, they were fine with people dying. Hell, they were encouraging it, as they believe (maybe correctly) that a protracted pandemic and many deaths will hurt the current administration. By stoking vaccine fears, they saw a chance to hurt Biden come the midterms, gain enough seats to torpedo any and all of Biden's policy plans, then take the white house come 2024. But the stocks dropping? That might ACTUALLY hurt them! Dead people they care nothing about? Fuck 'em. 3% loss on a stock they own, "THE SKY IS FALLING!!!"
