I will never understand the impetus to provide little or poor customer service. Happy customers are repeat customers. Satisfied customers are excellent advertising. Angry customers are more apt to take their business elsewhere. Places like telecom companies know they often have little to no competition (often because of tactics they employed in the past to eliminate competition), so believe they have the right to do whatever they want. They honestly don't believe that we might be able to band together and put pressure on our elected officials to stop or heavily regulate their monopolies. This is pure greed and greed inevitably destroys everything.
