I got into an argument with a friend last night about Trump and his racist comments, his tacit approval of white-nationalists, and his signal boosting for hate groups, and he just wouldn't hear any of it. Even the "very fine people on both sides" comment about the disastrous march in Charlottesville he was trying to hand-wave away and excuse as a good statement. Even going so far as to say that freedom of speech means not contradicting other people's hate-speech. People like this exist, and I'm afraid more and more of them are being created. Otherwise normal and rational people being radicalized into this bizarre cult-like behavior.
