  1. Gender affirming care ranges from changing the person's name to reflect their new identity, changing clothing, hairstyle, etc. to various forms of plastic surgery. Most gender affirming care isn't surgical, it's social. A preteen boy who feels like a girl might just be allowed to let her hair grow out and wear a dress and be called Samantha instead of Samuel. This idea that the same example child is rushed into surgery to have their genitals reconstructed and be injected with different drugs is a fantasy invented by panicky Republicans to get votes from the easily fooled.
