  1. There are conspiracy theories on both sides. The right it's climate change, it's proclaiming Democrats as socialists, that sort of thing. The left it's telling us all white people are racist, all men are misogynists, anyone who disagrees with them are alt-right. Both sides have a disturbing number of antivaxxers. People are prone to conspiracy theories because it excuses them from performing acts of critical thinking. Something a problem? It's THAT group's fault! Whew, now I don't have to think about it!
