  1. I can't think of a worse person to be in charge of anything than an anti-intellectual. Someone who genuinely believes that intelligence is a bad thing and that not understanding the world is a great way to run it. I'm sorry but give me an intellectual over a fool any day. Now, that intellectual needs to be running things within their intellect. I don't need a brain surgeon running taxes or an engineer running medical reform.

  2.  @whyamimrpink78  A genuinely intellectual person isn't going to do that. A craven person will, someone capable of playing on someone's fears. An intellectual would look at the situation from many multiple angles and seek out the best possible solution, the one that benefits the most people, you can't do that with "useful idiots."
