The issue with the progressive movement as I see it is that it is widely unpopular. Some might say their ideas are more popular than people know, but isn't that a problem in itself? If people don't know things they like are what you're advocating and working towards, you aren't going to reap any benefit. It also doesn't help that the far left is unorganized and prone to purity movements. We're watching the right tear itself apart over purity movements, yet don't seem to realize that they aren't a good idea regardless of which side of the political spectrum we're on. There will never be a pure candidate that is also electable. We either settle for good enough or we get hammered with bad policies and chaos.
