Trump has something in common with the Chinese government. Anything that harms his (their) image has to be struck down. This is why there's this level of emergency concerning the coronavirus. China didn't warn the rest of the world until they had no other choice, because to do so would reflect bad on The Party. Trump is bungling the response here HARD because he doesn't like what this is doing to the economy, and it's hurting real people. I already thought he was our worst president ever, but this adds a body count of his own citizens to that list of reasons to hate him.
