  1. This is what in legal terms would be called exculpatory evidence. Not only that, the Republicans HAD this exculpatory evidence and were withholding or ignoring said exculpatory evidence. Good thing this wasn't a trial, because such actions can 1) lead to a mistrial (good for us, not for them) and 2) result in a disbarment hearing at the least and total disbarment for the lawyer withholding the evidence at worst.
