I'm not sure I could have left the comment alone. Depending on how charitable I was feeling at the time, I'd probe her beliefs to confirm she's not someone I want to be involved with or I'd just be ending the date right there. I've known and were friends with a few trans people, and that was growing up in the 80s and 90s. Hate isn't something I can put up with in a partner.
