A good chunk of why this president has such low polling numbers has to do with some historic discrepancies in data collection. When you go back to Truman, there was FAR less data silos, people got far more exposure to both sides of any issue and so echo chambers were far less of a thing. When you interview a number of people and some 30% or more are only exposes to right-wing disinformation, that's going to greatly skew any results.

Tin Forge If we were smart as a people, we'd abandon the party system in favor of voting people for what they wish to accomplish, IE, voting on issues. I know a lot of conservatives that didn't like everything, even fifty percent, of what the people in their party have done. Yet, they consistently vote for the people with the R after their name. If you have someone that is letting you down more than half the time and you keep voting for them, they you are an idiot or in a cult.
