  1. While I can't really feel sympathy for someone who now regrets their decision, I still want to help them. If we point fingers at them and call them stupid, they're just going to go and do it again later. If we pull them in and tell them we understand they were lied to and are welcoming to them, they'll stand with us when it comes time to stand against this incoming dictatorship.
