Wow, the level of lawyer brain on display here is astounding. They know there are a number of people on their campuses that are making these kinds of antisemitic and genocidal statements, and it makes them look bad. They don't want to be kicking out that many students because they know there will be a backlash, so they are working backwards from that conclusion and choosing weasel language to cover their asses.
