  1. My grandfather was in the U.S. Army Air Corp right before it branched off into the U.S. Air Force. Full career and retired a master sergeant. Never saw combat, he was in logistics. There is no shame in being in the military outside a combat area. The people in combat areas need men like my grandfather to make sure they got the supplies they needed as well as letters from home and care packages. Alas, he passed away a week ago today, but I'm sure if he were alive today, he'd have some choice words for this candidate and his stolen valor.

  2. The people who would check him on his lies aren't the people who will vote for him. They're banking on enough of the MAGA faithful will vote and that everyone else won't vote in high enough numbers or that they can rig the system well enough that it won't matter.
