  1. The standard Chick-Fil-A sandwich is a split breast, pressed flat(ish), brined, then breaded and fried. What you're reading in the ingredients list online is likely technically required, not an apt description of what's in the sandwich. And, yeah, I pick the pickles off. They're cheap hamburger chips, the kind of pickles that are cut with the wavy pattern and are limp as a dishrag.
