  1. A reporter's job is to ascertain the facts and present them, dispassionately, to the public. Their job is NOT to put their thumbs on the scales, to push a narrative or agenda, or to adulterate reality for political ends. These are the tools of the propagandists. If they hadn't been so steadfastly living in a carefully cultivated fantasy, they might be better equipped to win now.
