This is actually BAD for Republicans in the long run. Actively changing the courts and pulling everything rightward might give them power NOW, but in the future, these changes will start to slide into the realm of self-destruction. That's the problem with politics. Everything is about right now, nothing is about the long-term. Oh, they THINK this will give them long-term power, but that's the danger of this sort of thinking. Sowing a poison seed to gain power today grows a poison crop that will eventually destroy them, and us with them.
