Being on drugs might make it more likely to die in custody or to commit actions that result in being shot by police. That being said, George Floyd didn't run at police with a weapon, he didn't aim a gun at police, he was handcuffed and was (according to one video I saw) quasi-resisting arrest by going limp forcing police to carry him. Now, that could have been a stunt on his behalf, or caused by whatever drugs he was on, but neither reason is an excuse to objectively murder a man. People try to muddy the waters by bringing up details they think justifies their position, keep a calm head and explain things in context.
