@Richard_Nickerson She was a former MMA fighter turned "actor" (I put quotes because she is a TERRIBLE actor, more wooden than a tree), worked on Disney's The Mandalorian, kept posting extremist right-wing nonsense on Twitter. Disney asked her to stop, they didn't want to be associated with that, she refused, they fired her. Society didn't cancel her, Disney fired her for cause. 99/100 she had a morals clause in her contract which she broke.

I would start with why someone got cancelled. Was it a minor misunderstanding or a major offense? If it was a crime, they can stay away from polite society as they've proven they can't handle it. If it's a misunderstanding, we should forgive because the offense was ours for jumping to conclusions. If it's a minor issue, some bad words or whatnot, let them go away for a bit, figure out what they did wrong, and then come out with a genuine apology, if it all passes the sniff test, we forgive. In brief, it depends and play it by ear.
