You're saying that Republicans are starting to worry that they are setting precedent that will end up hampering potential future investigations of Democratic presidents, and you're upset about this why? That's nothing but a good thing! All presidents, regardless of party, race, gender, or religion need to be held in check. They're realizing that they're destroying their own power. YES! That's GOOD! Enlightened self interest is the best kind of self interest, because it helps everyone, not just one group.

  2. ​ @janniszimbalski6652  If you can do something to harm someone else that can then turn around and use it to harm you, would you want it to be around on the off chance that you can harm your opponent enough to put them permanently out of commission? It's almost the mutually assured destruction theory of nuclear arsenals.
