  2. A lot of what causes modern kids to not like or wish to eat vegetables is the availability and ubiquity of sweets and other treats. When all you have to eat is good quality healthful foods, that's what you develop a taste for. My brother doesn't feed his kids sweets often, and I legit heard my niece complain about a sweet she got was TOO sweet and she was 6 at the time. Also, he's continuing the rule we were given that we weren't allowed to say we didn't like something unless we tried it first.
