  1. Two things. One, can we all admit just how stupid the primary system is? We're having a vote to see who we'll vote for. Why not a vote to see who'll be running in the primary? Insert infinite regression here. Too many hurt feelings and political resentment creeps in. See 2016 election. Two, if two progressive candidates can't make their message clear and concise enough to attract a majority of primary voters, then do they really deserve to win? The voting public seems to prefer a centrist candidate. Since we do have this ridiculous primary system, then everyone running deserves a chance to prove themselves, and strategic knocking off of candidates to "win" is very much less than kosher. It's one of the primary reasons Hilary Clinton lost the last election.
