  1. They've made an arbitrary determination that life begins at conception, which they define as when a sperm enters the ovum. Even if science comes to a functional conclusion, one that is embraced by biologists and doctors everywhere, theirs is a religious determination and so would automatically reject it and continue substituting it for what science can determine. I've gone through this debate enough times, showing that not all fertilized eggs implant and are expelled from the body. The ones that don't reject it out of hand (most do), move the goalpost to implantation, when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall. As the saying goes, it's hard to win an argument against someone smart, it's impossible to win an argument against someone stupid. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with superior experience.

  2. Since when do Christians follow the Bible? They do what they want and then look for excuses by quoting the Bible entirely out of context. Bring up the trial of the bitter waters all you want, they'll just dive into the book, find a passage that agrees with their ideology, then come up and attack you with it.

  3. The only point in arguing propaganda is to dismantle it. For the converted, it takes a LOT of work to do so and conceding their ideology just sets that goal back.
