  1. It's unfortunate that people are allowed to believe whatever crazy, bullshit, unsubstantiated things that they want. Yeah, the alternative is authoritarian as hell, some ministry of truth or some such. Still, allowing people to hold opinions that are actively harming society is worse. At the very least we need to disincentivize such behaviors and perhaps even actively punish those who do this.
