  1. Just last week my grandmother turned the light off by the pull switch on the ceiling fan and then wondered why flipping the light switch wasn't bringing power. She had me check the breaker, and I didn't know she turned the light off at the fan because she never uses the fan anyway. We only have one switch controlling an outlet in our house, and it's right under the big picture window, so we never use it anyway. Finally, the bathroom thing used to be our house too, but we LONG since rewired to prevent that.
