  1. In the last ten years, we've had five different microwaves. All of them burned up. Just one day, put a dish in to heat (can of peas in a ceramic dish and a glass lid), and, even after several minutes, they were cold. Putting a microwave over a hot device like a stove or oven is just going to ruin them. Which is EXACTLY why they're being done that way. They die quickly and you're out a few hundred dollars replacing it, and one that has to fit the space, so they charge even more. Give me something older and MUCH more functional like this '97 model any day.
