  1. I once played the game Dead Island which takes place on some southern hemisphere island and I got lost SO much playing it. The compass, which looks like a standard compass, I kept walking south when I thought I was walking north. Why? Because, that's the way the needle points in the southern hemisphere. I'm so used to being in the northern hemisphere and compass needles pointing north that it took a tremendous effort to accommodate for the sake of only one videogame.
