  16. It was OK for the USSR to invade dozens of countries (including Poland), murder tens of millions and create a gulag state - they were our allies But it wasn't OK for Germany - they weren't our alllies, so they committed war crimes Think I'm getting the hang of this history thing

  31. What were they meant to do at that stage of the war? The sensible option was to hold of the USSR as long as possible and hope for a more lenient peace with the USA But the UK and the USA had already agreed to give half of Europe to Stalin and to annihilate much of Germany to help it happen
