  2. you are using bad numbers. the amount of recycled aluminum in cans is not the amount of cans that are recycled. aluminum from cans gets melted down and made into huge aluminum ingots. that aluminum is then sold to companies that convert it to other form factors usually sheet . however the use of aluminum is growing - look at car companies especially tesla , so there is no way new cans will be made from all recycled aluminum. the best way to make cans recycled is to charge deposit on them. only 10 states do so we need to change that .
