  1. in 1991 referendum how is 84 % of the population voting to be part of ukraine instead of russia somehow interpreted as wanting to be part of russia ? what the hell are you saying? even crimea voted 54% to be in ukraine and had the native tatars returned from exile the vote would have been much higher . this map disproves any idea that the donbas regions wanted independence. it was all russian regular military and operatives that took control and declared the separatist movement. they pulled a coup and overthrew the elected govt there.

  5. one of the problems is that for the last 20 years european countries have shaped their forces to fight against jihadists types in the middle east. they lost sight of fighting russia . i big difference in how you would fight russia vs islamist states. now they have to rearm with conventional stuff like fighter jets . every country in europe should also form a drone division to build and train soldiers on FPV and other drone warfare. and they need to adapt consumer drones not spend 200k per drone that can't fly in the rain or gets taken down by some dust. watch joe macdonalds channel big macs battleblog. he talks of some uk drones built by a defense company for 200k and they were useless in ukraine for the above reasons.

  7. the cost of everything in china is about 1/5 of the usa. so 100 billion in china is the same as 500 billion in the usa. i can buy name brand industrial goods in china for 1/5 the cost as here . a 10k hydraulic pump is only 2k in china as an example.
