  3. it's a war against russia our #1 enemy for the last 70 yrs. what it has cost has been a bargain . if we were fighting ourselves the cost would be way higher. we spent over a trillion or 2 in the middle east with iraq and afghanistan . where we kicked out the taliban who 20yrs later won the war.

  12. and ukraine should have never given up all the weapons. they should have kept some say 100 tactical nukes and maybe a few icbm's. usa should have helped secure them but it was much cheaper to just convince ukraine to give them back. for that deal we provided 700 million in aid. super cheap . now look what that stupidity has wrought.

  17. we had an earthquake about a year ago in western ny. at 6 am i was in my bed and suddenly heard the biggest bang ever. i jumped out of bed and wasn't sure if i even heard a bang. thought i imagined it. later at work i see the headlines that we had an earthquake. my first one . i really felt nothing but heard a big bang.

  20. yes the people flipping out in NC expect instant help because oh some volunteer org or people can be there to help. well can those people be in 10 places at once ? can fema just have volunteers ? there may be room for improvement but govt orgs have rules they need to follow so will always move slower than individual volunteers.

  23. ukraine just shot down 2 Ka - 52 helicopters yesterday and they were not right at the front. russia lacks smart weapons so they have to come in close . then they get shot down by manpads and lose pilots which is an even bigger problem. yes and we pushed combined arms on to ukraine without giving them any airplanes. so that was a failure. they need way more 155 mm artillery shells and guns. yet they are moving forward slowly and will eventually reach the azov sea if we maintain support even if it takes years.

  26. i needed an ambulance for my mother like 10 yrs ago . she was in alot of abdominal pain. we requested no sirens and that's what happened. this was at an assisted living complex . they came and took her to the hospital. after about 4 hrs they figured out she had intestinal blockage. they gave her some meds to hopefully pass it but later had to operate . she had had mesh put in 5 years previous and it was now strangling her intestines .

According to multiple sources it was not 10 storm shadow missiles. they used drone boats first then s200's that russia shot down. that exposed their defense radars which ukraine then launched HARM missiles to destroy the radars. then they launched the stormshadow missiles which did not have to contend with the missile defenses. not known exactly how many storm shadow/scalp missiles were used but i doubt 10 . also russia always lies about how many they have shot down to make themselves look less bad

  47. they don't have to be the " best " fighters just have to be good. the current threat is russia . they are not so advanced. the saab fighter would cost way less money to buy and to maintain. plus they can land and take off from highways and require a very small maintenance crew. sounds way better than the F35 which will cost a fortune to maintain.

  49. the steel wire supports the aluminum conductors it's not used as the conductor even though it gets energized . it's aluminum for several reasons .copper is heavier than steel so about 3 times the weight of aluminum so copper lines are very heavy requiring much stronger supports . the other huge reason is aluminum is about 1/5 the price of copper.
