i agree with the comment piss poor and reckless . i mean the radio being critical and she doesn't know how it works or what frequencies to use when both their lives depended on it. wow

so0 it's kind of like oxygen. it feeds our life but also causes our death through oxidation.

@dbzcollector9963 after scanning they should eject the entire scissor mechanism with the camera

simpler times . no computers needed in those days

yet he is very successful and has a great family. but he is older now and the fluid intelligence does drop off so he was likely higher before. should be normalized for age as well. maybe for his age he is higher percentile.

this country has lost alot with the decline of factories. factories are great things. what do all those people with ave intelligence or less do for a living.? used to be work in a factory and make a decent living. i'm not talking about sweatshops with low pay. now they work at walmart or deliver stuff or drive trucks or if they can physically handle it do construction
3
@Blakblooded another example of why medical costs are so outrageous . they justify it as it replaces stitches so it's " worth" it but it's just rent seeking by the suppliers.

i knew all of these so i always get them right.

how many times have we read of a new breakthrough that cures cancer? then you may read further and it's some mouse cells or something or it's only possible for some very limited subset of a particular type. etc. hype hype hype.

i remember in grade 7 doing what i assume were IQ tests in 1972 . the only results they told us is at what grade level we were at . they told me i was at a grade 10 level and to not let it go to my head. i was always introverted so it was no big deal. i did one of those online tests like maybe 8 years ago and came up 137. i'm getting older now at 62 and feel my brain getting slower. not as quick as i used to be calculating in my head. i have never worked for someone other than a summer job. i have been successful with over 100 employees now. started in my parents garage when i was 15. went to college for engineering. so maybe some truth to this

@igorbrille8222 standard oil was rockefeler so where does bush come in?
1
@AxeltheGreen marxism is idiotic . it completely ignores human nature. equality can never happen because frankly some people are smarter than others. there are leaders and followers . that's the truth. that's why western capitalism is the best system. it creates the most progress for humanity despite any excesses.

i wonder of the landfill figure includes shop rags that are just cut up shirts which eventually end up in landfill ?
1
i agree. i see the first choice as not feminist because it's ommitted

i could use my mom's sewing machine when i was 10 back in 1970. i never really understood how the stitch worked. it was a white electric model ( the brand was white) . i do remember having to load thread onto the small bottom bobbin .there was a winding station on it to do that.

my motto is ' there are no experts'. i even denied i'm an expert while being deposed for a court case. i conceded that i had a lot of knowledge on the subject.
1
the best answer is to say F O with your stupid question to the interviewer.
1
repoters are notorious for not understanding the scientific method and taking things out of context. i read it every day.
1
i grew up in toronto and never had to take a sat for college. they didn't do that at least not in 1978
1
yes the bank teller part is the extra fluff the feminist part is the overriding detail.
1
i hope they succeed but they talk like well this is going to space but they have yet to launch 1 rocket . i really hope they can do it as his vision is very much like elon's to have a civilization on mars. the more resources available for that the better. i do wonder where they get funding. spacex needs starlink to fund the mars ambitions . where do they get funding? is it investors? are they not looking for a profit?
1
@ts-rgb not me . i will always take a longer life as long is it's not a life of agony as in physical agony . but then again i care not much for experiences my last vacation was over 50 yrs ago. hell = being on the beach or listening to music. i eat the same thing almost every day . i hate travelling or meeting new people.

so my iphone cracked the glass within 1 day even behind an otterbox protector. something in my pocket hit the very corner and it cracked right across. same with my previous phone .

just shows that the correlation between success in life and IQ is not very high as he said. i have high IQ and have done great financially but socially not so much as i have no kids never married.
1
after you said 3 was wrong i grasped it had to do with the diameter of the circle the center of the small disc makes. 3r +1r =4r = 8 pi r for the circumference of that circle. the circumference of the small is 2 pi r. so 8 /2 =4 . then i saw the explanation and why that is. makes total sense
1
get some acetone at home depot

i surmised after 10 seconds of this you were talking about leaded gasoline . i was right.

so what practical use is all this beyond making mathematicians giddy? is it useful in cryptography or rocket science or what.? what physical things does this allow ? or is it just a distraction?
1
we used to use icing sugar instead of charcoal since finely ground charcoal was not easy for us to find as kids and we were too lazy to grind charcoal. . the sulfur and saltpeter we would buy at any pharmacy . this is around 1970 .
1
question do they charge the steel mills for taking their waste? or do they have to buy the stuff from the steel mills ?
1
in the linda problem the bank teller part is the extra fluff the feminist part is the overriding detail. so the question is in part a she is not a feminist in part b she is a feminist , oh and in both she is a bank teller .
1
this is so unlike auto racing where fossbery flops are quickly outlawed . seems the racing bodies don't take too kindly to someone coming up with a massive advantage over everyone else. they usually make the innovation illegal.
1
there is a group of people who like guns and like having guns just for the sake of having them. they derive pleasure from using them as a hobby basically. whereas it is much less likely there is a group of people that like skin creams in the same way. so the 2 situations are not very comparable.
1
most novel use is in ukraine with drones showering burning thermite like something out of the original movie war of the worlds.

so when raising kids don't be a pushover. i think many parents forgot that part over the last 30 years. and society forgot it as well. then we get chaos. same with the southern border . we are now a pushover .
