well barry seal the actual guy who flew the planes for escobar tells a different story. he really did fly down and made a deal. i think they started with weed but later went to cocaine. the guy has been on several podcasts. lex friedmans podact comes to mind. even had his wife. he says what escobar did was tell all the producers he would guarantee their loads to usa for a fee. if the load got intercepted he would replace it in columbia. that's how he made so much money. i think it was only 50 bucks a kilo.
