  1. according to neil degrass tyson the reason islamic countries became so backward in math and science is because of some cleric decreeing that math and science were the work of the devil and was forbidden. this explains why as you said in the year 1000 the muslim world was way ahead in math and science but later lost it all and became stuck in ignorance after the religious law.

  3. yes islam is what holds back the muslims. they actually believe the koran is not a fairy tale but the word of god and is unfalable. yet it was written by men not god .
