  33. putin is not a rational leader. he feels he is on a mission from god. he will not stop till he restores the russian empire. his next move is to take the entire black sea coast. they control snake island . that small patch can cut off any ships trying to go from or away from odessa. that will be ukraine's only black sea port . there are stories that the west is tired already because of high gas prices. biden is crowing that he predicted the invasion so he can say zelinsky ignored his warning ,so too bad. unless nato is willing to give long range weapons russia will just keep using their artillery from a distance and pound every town and village into dust. it's what the russians do. so far ukraine has only received weapons that are not effective at long range .you can't use javelins when your soldiers are wiped out by artillery. and that 40 billion pretty much none of that has gone to ukraine yet and only 12 billion of that was weapons. much of that money goes to replace inventory and to shore up nato countries as well. sending 3 missile systems is a drop in the bucket. nato fights a different war. they use air power as the backbone of their warfighting. they are unwilling to confront russia directly. in ww2 we were not afraid to confront germany and it's allies. so just sending arms that are not effective will do nothing . i sure hope you are right rather than what i fear will happen.

  34. jake you missed something. almost all the military weapons we send to ukraine are from inventory we have. some of it is slated to be replaced with newer better versions. so the money that's allocated goes to our defense contractors right here in usa to build these weapons. so it's also a form of stimulus that will help our economy in the coming recession. only economic aid as actually funding we send to help the country survive. the EU just blocked a 9 billion euro aid package that means ukraine will struggle to pay old age pensions and other expenses. i can't believe how much dicks the EU is considering russia has designs on invading europe as well.
