  11. people need to struggle to achieve. that gives one purpose. otherwise society falls apart. it's already happening. we are " too fat" both figuratively and physically. look at sports. blowouts are boring . when both teams struggle to win the game is far better. it can go either way. we need a level of struggle.

  12. they talk about truckers losing their jobs. here we are in 2022 and truckers are being offered 120K to drive. fact. i lost a guy making 70k because of that. he got a cdl and went to drive a truck for 120k. and he has a felony criminal record. that's how desperate companies are for drivers

  13. but we are not on a deserted island. that's how society works. he is free to earn income as are you . he pays his way . and i would bet he pays way more taxes than most people. last year 60% of people paid no net federal income tax. but they all think they pay too much and the rich pay nothing. the rich pay all the taxes that make the country run.

  17. wages at the low end have skyrocketed. we have to offer 18 /hr for unskilled labor in a cheap to live city . hell amazon is advertising up to 20/ hr to start . minimum wage is 7.25 / hr federally. who can get an employee at that rate??? it was only a couple years ago the slogan was fight for 15 which was considered a good min wage,.

"cavemen" had to work all day finding food to survive . then we learned farming and most people had to work on a subsistance farm to live. then some people figured out how to grow more than they needed. then they could trade that to others who could do other work like say a blacksmith. then society progressed to where a much smaller percent of people needed to farm. so we have always needed to work . it's our nature . we need to work to give life purpose. UBI will let people work on art . yah sure . what if you hate art . people will be bored and inevitably turn to the usual , drugs and booze , and other vices. what if what you like is banging women and then leaving them for the next one. who takes care of all the babies ? cause that's a huge job full time . but ubi lets me do that.
