@Jack-rp6zy The Sri Lankan government is entirely at fault for the port china is operating as a study was already done on its usefulness by a western corporation before it was built and they still went along with it. China is operating it as a loss and Sri Lanka still has a stake.

@scholaroftheworldalternatehist Why assume that slavery couldn’t have been legally outlawed themselves without European colonization. Europeans basically instituted slavery within their colonies with forced labor and never really stopped it.
