Do you also want to force them not to procreate? So starvation and loneliness are your ideas? That sounds worse than many of the alternatives. Soy bean would still be grown in very large amounts for biofuel. Like it is now. The Oxford study did not acknowledge that those plants were grown for other industries. They only acknowledge where the crops end up. Example: 100 bushels of soy is grown for soybean oil. After they are used by industry those 100 bushels are then sold again to farmers. Oxford just says those 100 bushels went to farmers. This is disingenuous of you and them. Those same crops would go to industry even if there were no livestock to feed. We would still need to grow more than we need to feed humans because of that. The same thing happens with many other crops. So just be honest instead of cutting out a large portion of your disingenuous argument. I guess if you can't be honest it proves you don't really have an argument at all.

Removing the livestock from the equation still means nothing to the soybean oil market. Just like ethanol plants use corn and later send the byproduct to livestock. Some of course would die because we stop feeding them because no farmer is going to feed something that doesn't make money. More crops would need to be grown because the majority of crops grown now first are used in industry and only the waste products are sent to livestock. Have you eaten the corn mash from an ethanol plant? You're also not considering that with everyone now on a plant based diet more diverse plants would need to be grown. They can't just be placed on the farms that used to hold cattle because many of them are up north or on grazing land that isn't suited for crops. In the end your narrative is destroyed by logic. @souzapep Those third would countries that harvest quinoa, rice, avocados, etc... can't afford to buy them anymore because they have become a staple of the western diet. You can get a pound of chicken in their country cheaper than you can get half a pound of quinoa.
